What is the profile of a Data Protection Officer?

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is a contact for everything that concerns the protection and management of data. He or she is responsible for the security and use of data within the company. He is a specialist with a higher education in mathematics, computer science and law. He may also have specialized in Big Data. He is fluent in English, which will be useful for data handling and data protection worldwide. He has at least 5 years of professional experience in DPO where he has learned to master the different tools and software as well as hardware used in data protection. He also has a thorough knowledge of the GDPR. Mastering the implementation of audits and risk management piloting is important to carry out these missions.

What is the role of a Data Protection Officer?

The role of the Data Protection Officer is to ensure good IT practices within the company. His missions are multiple.
